#83- Go to a corn maze

I had to work a weekend in October so I decided it would be fun to take the kids to a corn maze. Hubby met us at the maze and the older child brought a friend. We let two 6 year olds and a 3 year old lead us through the maze. They had a blast finding different check points and once their little attention spans were reached we found the correct way out and had fun at all the other stuff they had to offer. You could milk a pretend cow, walk through a hay bale maze, dig in the sand, jump in the bouncy houses, take your pictures with your face in the hole type displays, climb on farm equipment, take a hay ride, climb through tunnels and climb hay bales.

We will definitely be going back to Green Acres farm next year. It was tons of fun!

#81- See the Biltmore

We went to the mountains for our anniversary and used a go blue ridge pass. It was awesome and I highly recommend it. www.smartdestinations.com They have ones for multiple cities. We saved $110 per person on all the stuff we did including the Biltmore which was included.

We had the best time at the Biltmore. We loved the wine tasting and the gardens. It was soooo beautiful. The house was amazing. I would love to see it at christmastime.

#71 See a movie the same day it comes out

I have seen the previews for Due Date and I have been dying to see it. Hubby recently did a side computer job so we had extra cash. We had a nice dinner and went to see Due Date. It was hilarious and we will definitely get it for DVD.

#57 Tribeca Tavern

I went here for the first time with my boss and the kids and lovvved it. The service was a little slow but we went for Jon's birthday dinner too and service was great. If you sign up for Rocky Top Hospitality e-mails they send you a coupon for a free entree. Dessert was yummy and it was an awesome burger.

#49 Agree to something I want to say no to by Jon

Heights scare me and I didn't want to say yes but I walked down all the steps at Chimney Rock and went on a hike with him up our road on our trip to the mountains. I had to wear my leg brace all week because of my leg but we got good pictures.

#5, Lose 15 lbs

I have officially lost 15 lbs. :-) Working out with my trainer was going fairly well. I explained I had bad knees and she decided to not care and still had me doing things that hurt. I went to the doctor and she sent me to physical therapy. My left knee is my bad knee and hurting it years ago my leg muscles tightened and it causes my patella to turn sideways instead of going back and forth. About 2 weeks into physical therapy I went on a trip to visit my mom. We went out dancing and pop and down I went. I had to be carried to the car and back on the boat. It was intense pain. The next day I could hobble enough and I had to drive 5.5 hours back home. I went to the dr. and that night I fell again. One more injury at the fair and I had an MRI. I knew it wasn't good when the Dr.'s office called the following day and said they needed to see me in the office the next day.

I tore my ACL. :( Surgery is scheduled for Jan when my oldest kid I watch tracks out of school. I won't be allowed to drive for 4 weeks according to my doctor. From what I hear people are moving around and driving before that so we shall see. I have been doing hard core physical therapy and I am just recently released to go back to the gym.

#20- Find a good pedicure place

My hair stylist recently changed salons and there is a nail salon that just opened next door. I decided to try it out and I was in heaven. Super cheap and while your toes are drying they massage your shoulders. The other week the lady even painted a design on my toes at no charge. Lovvvvvvvvve this place!

#13-Blog at least once a week-FAIL

This one gets a big fail. Life has taken over and I have been insanely busy. Having 4 classes and working 50-60 hours is totally kicking my ass. I was working out hard core but recently I managed to tear my ACL. I will have surgery in January :( I will have to be out of work for a few weeks which will be super hard for me.

28. Send a present on time

I managed to send my grandma's birthday card today...late but I did get my mom's birthday present sent out early! Score. I always have the gift or card early but somehow I manage to get behind and I either mail it the day before or two days after.

69. Watch 100 movies and review them -19

House of Wax

I was recently sucked into watch Jersey Shore on Mtv. I couldn't stop watching. Jon was playing xbox and I started to get bored. This came on after Jersey Shore so I started watching thinking it was dumb. It was dark, I was alone, and freezing. I started to get scared. I asked Jon to come upstairs and finish watching it with me. It was dumb but I will not make the mistake of being alone upstairs watching a scary movie again. At the end I was debating the actual house of wax. Where does one get that much wax? Wouldn't it not be a great material to build with because of the sun?

This seemed like movie with Vin Diesel called The Baby-Sitter. It was cute and I got it to watch with the kids but they were on vacation. I liked it.

#5 In Progress

This will be my before picture
I have been wanting to start this one for awhile. I just wasn't sure how I planned to do it. Should I diet and lose weight, just increase exercise, cheat and use a pill, starve...I obviously chose the best option and most expensive option. Jon and I joined a gym. It is on my way home from work so I do not have to drive out of my way. There is a location near Jon's work that we can visit on the weekends. There are also a few other locations if we want to travel. On top of joining the gym I also signed up for a personal trainer for 12 weeks. She is going to help kick my butt in gear so I can lose weight and get toned up. She was very impressed and I have excellent blood pressure and an excellent heart rate...resting and recovery. I had to sign a paper saying she could kill me and it wouldn't be her fault. I'm looking forward to a change! I won't post a before and after until the end but my goal is 50 lbs by Halloween. I am calling it Hot by Halloween. My trainer also created a menu plan and we went grocery shopping after we hit the gym. I am so proud of hubby too for eating healthy. Being skinny does not mean you are healthy and I think he is realizing that too.

Eclipse

I never wanted to read the series but someone I baby-sit for forced them on me. I was bored one day and started reading and I was hooked. The next weekend I made my husband go with me to the $1.50 theater and see Twilight. I waited paitently for New Moon to come out. New Moon was my least favorite. I couldn't wait to see Eclipse. It was everything I hoped for and more. Even though I am not generally a Jacob fan I couldn't take my eyes off of him. yummy. lol. I cannot wait for the next one to come out!

Youth in Revolt

This movie was boring as crap and I did not like it at all. I was surprised I actually watched the whole movie. Not impressed at all!

6. Get a tattoo

I have to admit I didn't think I would be completing this one quite so soon. I have always had an idea of what I wanted and I always knew I wanted it on my foot. All I kept hearing was about how much it would hurt. I went last night to get my nose pierced. I have also wanted that for a long time but finally got up the nerve. We went to a place that was recommended by a friend of my husband's. I saw some of their work and started looking at the final of what I wanted. He said it would be $80 and he could do it in 30 minutes depending on me. I was ready. My husband freaked out and was mad at me the rest of the night. He is over it now though. :-)

I Love You , Man

I thought this movie was not great but it was cute and funny. It would be a good movie to have on in the background while you are trying to get something done.

The Horsemen

The description of this movie was different than watching it. It was a very odd movie but I did like it.

39. Clean out and organize pantry -1

Jon has been complaining we have nothing too eat. The real problem is our pantry is so crammed full and disorganized he doesn't feel like looking for something. One night this week I went to make dinner and needed something from the pantry and one thing led to another and I cleaned the whole thing out and the fridge too.

My next mission is to dwindle down what is in the pantry so I can restock it.

We had breakfast potatoes from the freezer with eggs for breakfast on Saturday. I made brownies on Saturday too. I made a sauce n cake box mix thing for dessert earlier this week. We also ate our General Tso's chicken from Sam's Club and rice from the pantry on Sunday. I would like a clean slate with all new expiration dates. I was surprised to find a few things wayyy past due date. I would've known if our pantry was more organized.

I'll add a picture later.

44. Clean out computer, organize files and back it up onto disk

This past week I have noticed how incredibly slow my computer is. I also have tons of music and 23gb's of pictures. I organized all the folders and decided what I wanted to toss or save. It is all sitting in a folder on my desktop waiting to be put on the other hard drive so Jon can rebuild my laptop!

42. Clean out master closet of everything we do not wear.

I worked my butt off on Sunday cleaning out the closet. I tossed clothes and shoes and even though I asked Jon to go through his stuff he was keeping stuff he never wore and trying to toss stuff I had just put in his closet...so much for help from him.

3 bags of clothes later and my closet is clean and organized. I'll update a picture later. :-)I even cleaned out our dressers.

This is one task I need to repeat more often.

Canvas People update

The product shipped fast and was in a padded envelope. I wish they had put fragile on it because my postal carried shoved it into our mail slot. Thankfully there was no damage.

I opened it up and it was the wrong way. UGH! I ordered it and it showed it landscape online when I approved it and it was portrait when I got it. I went to the website and found return info. I was worried since I got it at a discount. The customer service was EXCELLENT! They returned my e-mail quickly and told me I needed to send a picture. As soon as they had a picture it was quickly resolved and they are sending me out a new one!

I get to keep the other one too! Woo

The quality of the picture is great and because customer service is excellent I will be ordering from them again.

#57 Visit 10 new restaurants

View from our seats

Sugarland- I am not counting this towards my 10 but I wanted to include a review. Everything looked so yummy. Jon got banana gelato and Jon's mom and I got tiramisu gelato. The flavor was intense and it was just like eating fresh tiramisu. It was heaven.

Spanky's Restaurant

We had lunch here and it was amazing. I had the Spanky's steak sandwich and besides the roll it was the closet thing in NC I have found that was similar to a Philly cheesesteak. The coleslaw was yummy too. Jon had NC bbq and fries. The fries were similar to Burger King. I love Burger king fries.

Top of the Hill

We ended the night after a visit to the Planetarium at Top of the Hill. We grabbed a tall top table on the patio and unfortunately were next to a group of loud drunken adults that were not being considerate to staff and customers passing by them. We picked up our table and moved it away from them. Later a bachlorette group moved their table away from them also. We all shared appetizers. We had buffalo chicken thumbs and toes, fried pickles and jalepeno's, sweet potato fries, and crab dip. Everything was delicious. The view was pretty and we enjoyed the sunset.

Happiest girl in the world # 92

We have a vacation scheduled for August and I have been asking for a DSLR camera since I met my husband at Best Buy. Finally all my dreams have come true and we got a great deal on a new Canon Rebel T1i. I LOVE IT!!!! I cannot wait to take it on vacation.

#57 Try 10 new restaurants, #90 Try 5 new wineries

Famous Dave's -It was very much like eating at Red Hot and Blue. We picked the feast for 2 because we couldn't decide what we wanted. They were out of the jalepeno mac and cheese but the waitress had a teeny bit for us to taste. It was sooo yummy. We barely ate any of it and when we packed it up to go it looked as if we had just ordered to go instead of eating it there. Two thumbs up!

Potomac Point Winery-Although it was right off 95 we took a wrong turn down a country road and had to turn around. Traffic was hell so we were a little later getting there than we wanted. We were surprised to find that it was a dog friendly winery. A couple had two cute chi's and one of them looked like Bam-Bam. We would've liked to explore a little more but we were short on time. We tried 13 wines. Recently I discovered that I do like Chardonnay if it is not oak aged. They had an oakey chardonnay and one aged in stainless steel. I really liked it so we ended up getting a bottle. They even had a olive oil tasting bar. The grounds of the winery were beautiful and would be perfect for a wedding. The bistro's menu looked yummy too.

I gave up on other pictures because it kept freezing. Maybe some other time.

46. Kill weeds on front sidewalk

They have come back once or twice but this time I think the heat has finally helped them stay gone.

I also changed the flag for fourth of July. A little John Deere for my husband. :)

#62 Pick blueberries with Emma

My girl lovvvves blueberries. We also picked blackberries. She had a great time and did not want to leave. I kept finding her sneaking blueberries into her mouth. Even though I do not like blueberries I did have fun picking them. We even saw a bird's nest complete with egg.

Toy Story 3D

It was a great movie and reminded me of when I saw the first two many years ago. I am glad I didn't take my young ones to see it because there were some intense moments. I will admit I cried...but I was also having a crappy week and have already cried a few times. Barbie and Ken had me cracking up. So many movies that come out with more than 2 additions aren't that great but I did love this one as much as the other two.

A weekend of completion-book 7

This weekend I was invited to Charlotte by my friend Cameron. I "met" her a few years ago on the knot. We are very similar and were both bummed about the 3 hours in between us. We have managed to see each other a few times though and I have never been to Charlotte.

I had to work Friday night so I left early Saturday morning. I arrived in Charlotte just in time for lunch and it was a good thing because I was starving. Cameron asked me where I wanted to go and in my search for penguin items I had found that Charlotte has a place called The Penguin Drive-in There was a wait to get in. It gets great reviews. I wanted to go just because it had penguin in the name. The food was great. I had a penguin patty melt and we shared fried pickles. It is the first diner that I have ever been to that served alcohol. After the week I had I decided to give something a try...Sex in the Penguin. It was yummy!

We then shopped till we dropped and finished the day with a pedicure. Lunch was so filling we weren't really in the mood for dinner but a few hours later we met up with Cameron's husband and friend and went to On the Border for dessert. We ended up getting appetizers instead and were too full for dessert. The night ended watching you tube videos and talking some more. You should look on you tube for Jacks films and Glozell. Hilarious. Watch the wtf blanket first.

Sunday we woke up and headed to Ruby Tuesday's for their 4 course brunch. Jon and I have been wanting to try it but just haven't made it there yet. Cameron and I are basically twins and we got the same thing. Steak and eggs. It started with the best sweet biscuits then a oatmeal parfait with fruit sauce, and followed by dessert which we both chose cheesecake with blackberry sauce. It was so yummy and I was so full I may never eat again.

Cameron took me to The Owl's Eye Winery next. We tried 8 wines I think and there were only 2 that weren't high on my list. I ended up buying a bottle of Niagra and Tweyelight. The Tweyelight had a cool bottle and the label is blue. It is a blend of Zinfandel and Cabernet Franc. For a person that is not a big fan of Chardonnay or Pinot I absolutely loved their wine. I have to go back and buy more the next time I am in Charlotte or try and see if they sell it here. Don't they have the coolest logo?

Cameron has one less pet than we do and they are no less cuter. I got to meet Wolfwood, Jewel, Knight, and Neko. If Cameron wouldn't of killed me or Jon divorced me I would have taken all of them home with me. I used to pet-sit for a greyhound and I forgot how much I liked them. They are sweet, soft, and gentle giants. Wolfwood approved of me also. He didn't bark at me except for when I entered and he didn't get too excited and pee on me. He even got close for a few pets on the head.

Jewel and Knight taking a break on the couchNeko testing out my new picnic blanket I got at Bed, Bath, and Beyond
It was a fun trip and a big thanks to Cameron and her husband for having me. :-)
I also finished Jodi Piccoults's Handle with Care. It was a great book. It was one I became emotionally involved in. If a character was hurting I was crying right along with them. It felt like I was reading a real life story. Would you tell a jury you wish your child was not born in order to pay off all the debt incurred by a disabled child and to provide for her future?

#31 Bake Something New

Fresh Blackberry Cobbler from cooks.com

1 stick butter
1 c. milk
1 c. sifted flour
1 c. sugar
1 qt. blackberries

In bottom of baking pan or large baking dish, melt butter. Add milk; do not stir. Sift flour and sugar; add to dish. DO NOT STIR. Add blackberries. Bake at 325 to 350 degrees until crust rises to top and browns.

If you are like me you do not have time to sit and watch your cobbler bake until it browns. I found another recipe that said bake for 30-40 minutes so I used that. In the last 10 minutes though I realized that it also said 375... so I upped the temp and cooked it about 10 minutes longer. I had issues with being told not to stir and I will admit I didn't stir the milk and butter but I did pour the sugar/flour mixture over the blackberries and coated them before adding them to the mixture.

It was super easy to make and I let a 3 year old help me. It turned out great and everyone loved it.

Side note about ads

See the one over there -> that says Canvas people? I just ordered an 11x14 of one of my wedding pictures from their site and got it for $9.99 and paid for shipping. I got the link from the deal wise mommy blog. I will review it when I get it but I am super excited to have gotten such a great deal on a canvas print and was surprised to see them as one of my blog ads.

#31 Bake Something New

My boss had a birthday and I knew she was not a cupcake or cake fan but still wanted something birthday themed that my kids could help make. I decided on cake mix cookies. I had them awhile ago at a baby shower and found out what they were. They are delicious!

CAKE MIX COOKIES
1 box cake mix (any flavor)
1/2 c. oil
2 eggs
Roll in balls. Place on greased cookie sheet. Set oven at 350 degrees. Cook them for 8-10 minutes.

Super easy to make and my boss and kids loved them. I will definitely be making these again.

Our young believes group at church had a movie night on Friday. Cake, drinks, pop corn and movie snacks. Jon and I were able to snag a couch. I loved this movie. 45. Buy flowers for pots on porch and keep alive for 30 days

Last year I bought violets and spider plants for the front porch. I kept them alive all summer and I covered them for the first potential frost and then we had a freak cold spell and they didn't make it. I was so sad. This year I decided to plant Impatiens. I bought Red and white and they are doing well. I bought them a week ago and I have yet to plant them in pots. I had planned to do it this weekend but throwing up blood kind of ruined my plans.

Carriers

Chris Pine looks better with a little scruff. I think the people that made the most going into the movie were the people that died first. A deadly disease is spreading and 4 people are trying to make it to a desserted beach called Turtle Island or something like that. I did not want to watch it but while I was sick my husband took advantage and convinced me to see it. I didn't dislike it but I won't be watching it again anytime soon.

Dear John I thought I had read this book before I watched the movie but I didn't remember anything so I must not have. I think this is the only Nicholas Sparks book/movie I wasn't a fan of. Channing Tatum more than made up for it though!

The Lovely Bones

As usual I liked the book better. A young girl is murdered and watches her family from heaven. Her father cannot rest without solving the murder and her mother cannot be the mother of the dead girl and leaves the family.

I loved this book. Sheri from the Bob and Sheri show on the radio tells it like it is. There are no sensors on the thoughts you have as a parent (or someone who cares for children) This book tells you the truth instead of puppies and rainbows.

The Duggars: 20 and counting

I love watching 19 kids and counting. You can say whatever you want about the Duggars but I like them. They have 19 children and they are debt free. Most people with one child cannot say that. This book starts at the beginning and includes pictures and recipes throughout. You learn about all the businesses they had and how 5 or 7 people lived in a two bedroom house. (I forget the number but it was insane)I do think after the recent preemie birth of Josie that they should call it quits. I wish the book had been written later so I could've read more about the journey of a preemie. It was a quick read.

#68 Stay in pajamas all day and watch movies-5,6, #69

It was really hard to stay in pajamas all day and not go somewhere or do stuff around the house. Because we traveled on Memorial Day weekend though I was a little behind in school work and I did use the time to complete my reading, discussion question, and to write my paper.

We watched

Leap year
Weekend at Bernie's 2
Fireproof
Lakeview Terrace
and some dvr

Jon had never seen Fireproof but I watched it recently before I started this challenge. I think every couple should watch it.

Leap Year

A young woman decides to follow a family tradition and propose to her bf on Feb 29th. She sets off on a plane to fly cross country to see him. Of course she runs into trouble and a attractive inn keeper helps her get to her destination to propose.

It was a little slow and I give it 1 1/2 stars. The ending made me angry but then it turned around and ended nicely. Matthew Goode was nice to look at. :-)

Lakeview Terrace

This movie hurt to watch. The couple move into a house next to a cop who is off his rocker. They can't call the police because he is the police. It made me thankful that we have nice neighbors. I did not enjoy watching it because Samuel Jackson played such a great bad man.

Laundry Detergent update

I used the following recipe:

Laundry Detergent Recipe
4 quarts water
3 gallons Hot water
1 cup Washing Soda
1/2 cup Borax
1 Soap bar
a 5 gallon bucket with lid

First you grate up a bar of soap. I used Kirk's Castile soap. I had planned to use Fels Naptha but the bar I have is currently being used as a pretreater for stains. It is approximately $1.50 maybe for a bar and so far it has been the best thing I have found to pre-treat stains. I used my kitchen stand up grater that I use to grate cheese.

Bring 4 quarts of water to boil and slowly add little handfuls of the grated soap into the water until it is all melted and mixed up.

Fill the 5 gallon bucket with 3 gallons of hot tap water. Add the melted soap, Washing Soda, and Borax into the bucket and stir until it is all dissolved.

Put the lid on and let it sit overnight. The next day stir it up and it is ready to use.

1 cup per load of laundry

It will look something like the picture above. I also found fresh linen essential oil to add before every load for a stronger scent. I liked it without the oil but I like a stronger fresh smell.

My first test was towels. I added the oil before adding the towels and then added my one cup. The towels came out clean, fluffy, and smell like fresh laundry.

My next test was clothes that had a few items with stains. All the clothes came out clean. :-)

I am sold on homemade laundry detergent. I think I might try the powered version next time.

Other Goals

Now that I have started this challenge I find myself striving to finish other little or big goals that I have set for myself.

One I have been putting off for awhile is making my own laundry detergent. I found out how inexpensive it was and how easy it was to make and decided I wanted to try it out. We plan to cloth diaper our future kids so why not start the savings now? I bought the ingredients today and plan to attempt making it tomorrow. I will post my results and the recipe I used later.

Couples Retreat

Not too bad for a chic flic type comedy. Each couple is having problems and think they are going to do what they want on the retreat and are all very upset when they have couples skill building at 6 am. They all continue to have problems until the end when everything magically fixes itself. Good for a few laughs.

# 82 Go on a trip on my parents boat with Jon

Jon has been away a lot recently for work. I hate it. I do not know how couples that are away for days, months, a year at a time do it. I need my husband and while I may occasionally enjoy a weekend away I do not like being away from him often. Last year I took a mini vacation before I started my new job and went to Md to see my parent's boat. They had just moved it to a new marina in Md. My friend Sharon and I went for the weekend and we had a blast. A week later I finally felt like I was off the boat.

I have been trying since last 4th of July to make time to take Jon with me. Recently we found a teen at church willing to watch our zoo and we have taken advantage of a trip with out dogs twice.
We drove up Friday afternoon and made it in about 5.5 hrs. We hung out with everyone and showed Jon around. We all went to the restaurant directly in front of my parent's boat, Waterman's, and had dinner with the group. We then headed to another bar/restauarant for dancing. Jon actually danced.
Saturday we were up early and ready to head out for a day on the water. We took a short boat ride to Swan creek and hung out all day with two other boats. Only a few people enjoyed the cold water. Saturday we went to Waterman's again for dinner and stayed for dancing.
Sunday we decided it would be nice enough to anchor out for the next night. We took a longer boat ride with 3 other boats and headed to Dobbin's Island. It is a small 7 acre island that is popular for people taking day trips. It was hot and all of us enjoyed the water. We saw a police boat board 3 boats. ALso there were many idiots. One smaller boat anchored and went to shore. The two guys were gone for hours. I had been watching the boat swing from one direction to the other and come very close to another boat. The owner of that boat finally got out moved the boat and anchor of the boat. Idiot owner came back hours later and was not ok to be driving a boat. The funny thing was his boat was now stuck on the sandbar. We had to be further away from the island because we had a sailboat with us and it needs at least 4.5 ft of water. We ended up being the wave breaker over the sandbar and at times it was a little rocky. 3 out of 4 boats had a grill so dinner was yummy. We all hung out and talked and listened to music until it was late.
Monday morning the oh so smart people were out early and one guy drove over all 3 of our front anchors. It took about 10 minutes to get him off of our lines. The scary thing is they hadn't even started drinking yet. We were glad to be leaving. We had a yummy grilled breakfast and headed out to Swan Creek again. A boat we were traveling with has an older dog and he was starting to act funny so we headed back for the dock instead. It was a good thing we headed back because while she was taking him potty he passed out on the dock. It was scary and we are waiting to see how he is at the vet today. We were not very organized and it took forever to walk over to dinner and get our stuff ready so we did not leave till around 7:30. We got home very late this morning. It was a successful trip and we plan to head back for July 4th.

# 8 Make Pizza

I have never made Pizza myself. I can bake a frozen one without any problems but I have been terrified to ever attempt it myself. I have to say my attempt was super delicious and next time instead of using premade dough I will attempt homemade...maybe. I will add a picture later. :-)

#72 Read 133 books and review them-4

The Time Traveler's Wife

I really want to see the movie but I always make myself read the book first. One of my friend's recently saw the movie and said I had to see it.

I did like this book. It took a lot of focus to follow the jumps and who was what age in what year. The past, present, and future all at the same time. I look forward to seeing the movie.

#72 Read 133 books and review them-3

Mr. Monk is Miserable

I stumbled upon this series walking around our library one day. I love the tv show and decided to give the book series a chance. I have read a few others before I started this challenge. You can always look me up on Shelfari.com to see the other books I have read or plan to read.

This book takes place in Paris and although I have never been I found myself dreaming about being in Paris. Lee does a good job at describing in great detail. Reading this is almost as good as watching the show.

#69 Watch 100 movies and review them-3, #63 Treat someone to a movie

Shrek Forever After 3D

I have been waiting for this movie to come out and could not wait to see it. Jon did not want to go with me so I decided to take one of my munchkins.

*Advertisement* Jon and I recently bought a power pass from Marbles Kid's museum IMAX for $40 each. This thing is amazing. You can see any of the documentary movies for free and any other movie for $5. One of my favorite things about the power pass though is the special line. As an example Shrek was at 5:00pm. I picked munchkin up around 4:15 and we arrived around 4:45. We went to the bathroom, got our popcorn and watched the other 60 people in line as we then became the second in line. The power pass allows you to bring one non power pass person with you in line per power pass so that is also awesome. :-)

The trailer for Toy Story 3 looks great. Rumpelstiltskin was a cool bad guy. I loved his different wigs. Puss in boots continues to be my favorite besides donkey. Everyone should go and see it.

If Only

I love Jennifer Love Hewitt and I am addicted to Ghost Whisperer. I was browsing netflix and came across this movie and decided to add it to my queue.

This week tends to have a not your typical happily ever after ending theme. I enjoyed it but it will not be on my favorite list. I loved Jennifer as a musician and the story line was not predictable. Appreciate what you have before it is gone. If you have the chance to redo something it might still end up the same way.

#33 Update CPR and First-Aid

I decided to give up a Saturday (8:30-2:30) to renew my certification. I talked one of my friends into going with me and that made the class go much faster. We also entertained our instructor when after doing abdominal thrusts we started swaying as if we were dancing to a slow song at prom. We had fun and we renewed our knowledge. Next May 22nd I can renew CPR but my First-Aid is good for 3 years. Yay! I plan to talk my husband into taking it later in the year.

#72 Read 133 books and review them Book 2

Water for Elephants

I have wanted to read this for awhile. I tend to shy away from books that become super popular overnight but I did think this one looked interesting. I loved this book. If you didn't see that the author was a female and much younger it read exactly like Jacob was the author and telling you a true story. I am sad that it took me so long to finally pick it up and read it. I could've sat down and read it in one day it was so good. I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good read. A true life story of a traveling circus. I fell in love with Rosie. I have always wanted an Elephant.

# 69 Watch 100 movies and review them-1

Funny People

It was 2 hours and 26 minutes long. I think I would've enjoyed it if it was an hour and 26 minutes but that extra hour put it over the top. It did have a lot of funny and famous people in it. I would give it 2.5 stars if I had to rate it. It was funny but by the end I was praying someone would die so the movie would end.

# 72 Read 133 books and review them. Book 1

If I had started this challenge a little earlier I could've already had 30 books but I am starting with the book I read today. Girl's guide to witchcraft by Mindy Klansky.

Jane is a librarian in D.C. and when her salary is cut she moves into the house behind the library and stumbles into witchcraft. It follows her family, her love life, and her baker friend Melissa. It was a cute story that could have been written in many less pages. It was not your typical boy meets girl and happily ever after story. I look forward to reading the next one in the series but I hope she gets to the point sooner.

# 10 Start a 101 in 1001 blog and challenge

I recently came upon one of my friend's blogs and saw her list. Shortly after I saw my sister in law post her list. I then googled the day zero project and I was inspired to start my own list. After a few days of playing with my layout and comprising 101 things I am ready to go.

101 in 1001- The Challenge

I copied this from the day zero website:

About The Project
Welcome to Day Zero, the home of the 1001 Day Project. A unique challenge that inspires you to set and achieve your personal goals in life.

The Challenge:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.

The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on your part).

Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple challenges such as New Year's resolutions or a 'Bucket List'. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips, study semesters, or outdoor activities.

My date is May 19, 2010 to February 13, 2013.
